Nitro

Nitro helicopters in my opinion are only for the most advanced pilots.  They are very advanced and can be very fun, but it is essential to have the proper skill before flying one of these.  They are more expensive and require more up keep than electric models.  They do seem much more realistic though because of the size, sound of the nitro engine, and the exhaust pouring out of it.  They also tend to be made out of more durable material along with their size allows them to take a beating.
Flying with nitro engines also requires a lot more work, knowledge, and supplies.
  • You need Nitro fuel
  • Glow plug starter
  • Variety of tools (for maintenance, repair, and tuning)
  • Nitro maintenance (engine care and tuning)
  • Exhaust manifold
  • Knowledge of engine tuning
  • Engine break-in procedures.

**Check out this video below of an Aurora 90 Nitro helicopter in action.  Keep in mind that most people can't fly as good as the man flying and it takes many years of practice to get this good.  You will very quickly realize why they call it the "Gnat on Crack". It is pretty amazing to see what kind of tricks these heli's can do.  Also notice the size of the heli.  Enjoy
