About Me
I am basically a RC junky. I love driving nitro cars and trucks as well as building, operating, and maintaining them. I have also been fascinated with airplanes and helicopters my entire life. I have never tried to fly an rc airplane except on a simulator, so I won’t try to act like I know a lot about it or try to educate you on rc airplanes. I do own three helicopter’s though and feel that I have exceptional experience and knowledge on flying and operating rc heli’s. So throughout this website I hope you will learn everything you need to know about RC helicopters.
Since all my experience in heli’s started because I was fascinated with the real thing I am hoping to pursue my dream of flying real heli’s in the near future. I am currently attending the United States Naval Academy in the Class of 2014. After graduation I plan to then become an officer in the Marine Corps and fly Super Cobra’s while defending our nation’s freedom. After making a career in the Marine Corps I would like to fly heli’s for a private company or maybe for tours.

My Story
A lot of people like to know how I got started. I tell them it started when I was a young kid going to air shows with my family, and ever since I have been intrigued by airplanes and helicopters. I would tell my friends and family that I was going to fly with the Blue Angels one day. I used to go to my local hobby shop frequently with my mom and go look at the model helicopters and try to fly the simulators. I always wanted to get one, but the employees at the hobby shop convinced my mom that it wouldn’t be a smart investment to get a 10 year old a couple hundred dollar helicopter that I would inevitably wreck in my first seconds of flight.
...
A couple years later when I had my own money to blow and was convinced I could fly an RC heli no problem, I went out and bought my first heli. A Venom Night Ranger 3D! After a lot of practice, money, and spare parts I could finally get it to hover well and fly around my back yard. My dad noticed that I was still only a novice at the hobby then decided to get me a coaxial E-flite Blade mCX. This was probably the best investment ever in this hobby. This little heli is the most fun and indestructible heli I know about. After getting a hang of the coaxial we upgraded to the larger E-Flite Blade CX2. This is also a very fun coaxial heli.
